Frame Digital made this
iMapflickr was created by Frame Digital, a small but perfectly formed digital agency based in Glasgow, Scotland. If you want to find out more about about how to use MapFlickr, take a look at this video.
The idea was to create a simple, easy to use but powerful tool that does something that usually requires a developer - create an interactive map with geolocated images on it using the Google Maps and Flickr API.
We created this because we like messing around with clever stuff. It doesn't have to all be about the code, it can be about the idea behind the code. In fact, in the web X.0 world, its often more about the idea than the execution, althought we appreciate getting both right helps.
For the technically minded, this site was built using C#, SQL Server and makes use of the Google Maps and Flickr API. Huge thanks to the guys at Flickr.NET for making the awesome API library.
For the more sociable people, you can find out more about us and our parent company Frame at Visit Frame, or if you want to find out more about what Frame Digital are up to, maybe take a look at our blog. If you are feeling very socialable, call us or send us an email and we'll meet you for a chat, we like to talk.
If you've never used the Flickr API before, and fancy giving it a shot, we've written an article on how to get started with the flickr API in C#.
